Commodus, 177-192. Medallion (Bimetallic, 37 mm, 45.08 g, 12 h), Rome, 186-187. M COMMODVS ANTONINVS PIVS FELIX AVG BRIT Laureate and cuirassed bust of Commodus to right. Rev. P M TR P XII IMP VIII COS V P P Commodus seated to right on rock, holding scepter in his left hand; on the right, Dioscurus, nude except for pileus surmounted by a star, standing front, head to left, placing his right hand on the head of a horse standing to left behind him and holding transverse scepter in his left. Berlin inv. no. 18200708 = Dressel 77 = Kaiser-Raiẞ pl. 15, 1 (same dies). Of the highest rarity. Very rough surfaces and blurry details, likely once a river find, otherwise, fair.
